Preserving History, Educating, & Memorializing Fallen Firefighters

The Los Angeles Fire Department and Memorial is managed by a group of active and retired firefighters and energetic volunteers. The Los Angeles Fire Department Historical Society is the managing entity. It is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The Historical Society works in unison with the LAFD and the William Rolland Firefighter Educational Institute. It is managed by a board of directors and is fully supported by private donations, living wills, retail store revenues, and grants from a variety of sources.
